|2015 Conference Student Activities
November 11-14, 2015
Sheraton Station Square Pittsburgh
11:30 – 2:10pm (10 mins by assigned time)
Each team will be required to make a presentation in front of the judges explaining the robot design, build, and components. Only the team presenting and the judges will be present during the presentation. Teams will be assigned their presentation time on their competition registration confirmation. This presentation should be between 5 and 10 minutes in length.
Robotics Judging and Public Viewing
2:30pm – 4:45pm
Get an up-close preview of the robots that will be competing in the 2015 ATMAE Conference Robotics Competition! Stop by and check out team posters to learn more about each robot's construction materials, speed, lifting capabilities, and schematics.
Robotics Competition and Reception
5:30pm – 7:30pm
ATMAE is known across the country for bringing the leading university and college robotics teams together for this captivating competition! Join us during the Relay and Obstacle Course Races as we watch robots navigate a teeter-totter, climb a burlap obstacle and race to finish an ATMAE themed puzzle! You'll even be able to place a vote for your favorite robot. You don't want to miss this exciting competition! The winner will be recognized during the Awards Luncheon on Friday.
Deadline to register to be in the competition is October 23rd!
Student Evening Event
8:30pm – 11pm
ATMAE loves its students! We want to say thank you for your support with free food and fun at the awesome, Hard Rock Café! Just steps away from the conference - come by, hang out with friends and meet other students!
Student Research Competition
1:30pm – 3pm
Based on the merits of the submitted abstract, students will be selected to make 15-minute presentations of on-going research and/or results, followed by a 5-minute question and answer session. Presentations will be evaluated based on Technical Content, Methodology, Personal Appearance, Oral Presentation, and Media - Power Point Presentation.

Haig Vahradian Technology Challenge
Test your technology, management, and applied engineering know-how in this Jeopardy-style, single-elimination competition. Race for the buzzer with questions on manufacturing, communication, construction, safety, electronics, energy, quality, and management.
Make sure to mark your intent to participate on your conference registration!
Keynote Presentation and Awards Luncheon
12pm – 1:45pm
What team won the 2015 ATMAE Robotics Competition? Who won Student Chapter of the Year Award? Come to the Awards Luncheon to eat and cheer on your fellow students!

Student Division Focus Group
2pm – 2:45pm
ATMAE wants to know what WE can do for YOU! Organized in a focus group setting, this meeting is an opportunity for you to share your experiences and ideas as ATMAE Student Members.
