ATMAE Accreditation Fully Recognized by CHEA and Scope Change Approved

July 23, 2024 – The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) is proud to announce that its accreditation has been fully recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), extending through December 31, 2030. This recognition underscores the organization's commitment to upholding the highest standards of academic quality and excellence.

In addition to full recognition, CHEA, a national advocate and institutional voice for self-regulation of academic quality through accreditation, has also approved ATMAE's request for a scope change to include additional disciplines and localities. The new CHEA recognized scope is:

ATMAE accredits associate, baccalaureate, and master’s degree programs in technology, technology management, applied technology, engineering technology, applied engineering, and technology-related disciplines delivered at nationally and regionally accredited institutions in the United States and institutions meeting the same standards internationally. CHEA's recognition of institutional and programmatic accreditors in the U.S. signifies a stringent evaluation process, where accrediting organizations must demonstrate public accountability for performance and transparency. This recognition also underscores the effectiveness of ATMAE's accreditation structure and organization, and confirms its quality assurance and commitment to quality improvement in higher education.
