Since 1967 ATMAE members, who are college and university educators, administrators, students, and industry professionals in the United States and overseas, have been dedicated to solving complex technological problems and developing the competitive technologist
and applied engineering workforce. We do this through specialized accreditation for 2- and 4-year degree programs, personal certifications, an annual conference, publications, awards and scholarship programs, career center, a website filled with
valuable content, and numerous opportunities to develop professionally.

ATMAE Policy Statement on Black Lives Matter
We the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering Board of Directors are dedicated to furthering the academic and professional potentials of every person in our member institutions and partner industries.
That includes Black Lives.
ATMAE is an increasingly diverse association of hands-on engineers, technicians, and management dedicated to equality and professionality in the workplace. We stand with the Black Lives Matter movements across the globe and strive to explore paths that lead us to a more just tomorrow. As a STEM association, we may not be as visible as others, but we are unable to remain neutral on this important issue. Racism is a heavily ingrained systemic problem within our society and failing to oppose such practices would make us complicit in their use.
In the coming months we pledge to explore pathways to further increase the opportunities for young People of Color in both our association and profession. We do not know yet what shape these directions will take, but it is our belief that seeking justice and combating inequalities must be at the forefront of our focus. Over the coming years we hope our actions will aid in helping rid our daily lives of such issues. It is our duty and responsibility to both listen and fight against discrimination and oppression in all facets of our society. The only way to advance as humans is together.
