Since 1967 ATMAE members, who are college and university educators, administrators, students, and industry professionals in the United States and overseas, have been dedicated to solving complex technological problems and developing the competitive technologist and applied engineering workforce. We do this through specialized accreditation for 2- and 4-year degree programs, personal certifications, an annual conference, publications, awards and scholarship programs, career center, a website filled with valuable content, and numerous opportunities to develop professionally.

The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering sets standards for academic program accreditation, personal certification, and professional development for educators and industry professionals involved in integrating technology, leadership, and design.

Our Code of Ethics

We, the members of the Association for Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE), in recognition of the importance of our associates and mission of the association in providing quality services to enhance our organizational development and in accepting a personal obligation to our profession, its members, and the institutions of higher learning we serve, do hereby commit ourselves to the highest ethical and professional conduct and agree:

  1. To uphold and support the constitution and bylaws of the Association,

  2. Ensure the students and institutions we serve are the highest priority,

  3. Maintain academic integrity in all actions but specifically:
    1. to be honest and realistic in stating credentials without deception when voted in as a board member or any other official position in ATMAE;
    2. to reject bribery in all its forms; and;
    3. to avoid injuring others, reputation, or employment by false or malicious action

  4. Assure our Accreditation and Certification programs meet the highest expectations of the Association.

If any component(s) of the code of ethics are violated by an ATMAE leader, at any level of the organization, they may be subject to expulsion from the Association. The violation of any of the codes will not be tolerated. We as leaders of ATMAE must protect our brand, reputation, membership and operational to ensure continual growth for academic and organizational prosperity.
