Certified Technology Manager (CTM/CSTM)
The Certified Technology Manager (CTM) program is based on a broad-based multi-subject exam with a technology management emphasis. Most students in ATMAE accredited four year programs should be properly prepared for this exam.
Certified Technology Manager (CTM) is the initial certification status awarded to eligible applicants. CTM status is ongoing upon annual dues payments. Reporting of continuing education activity is not required to maintain CTM status; CTM holders may report continuing education activity in order to qualify for Certified Senior Technology Manager (CSTM) status. CTM holders who report 30 PDU may upgrade to CSTM status.

About the CTM Exam
The CTM Examination can be used for individual certification and for program assessment. The exam is an open-book*, 160-question, multiple choice examination with questions on Leadership/Self-Management, Systems, Processes, Operations, People, Project, Quality, and Risk. (*For program assessment, the school may choose a closed-book format.) Passage of the exam is determined by a cumulative score on the examination.
