The ATMAE Divisions has several openings for the 2020 - 2021 election.
We invite anyone interested in running to read the following information and feel free to contact Jim Thompson, Executive Director, if you have any questions at 919-635-8335;  executive@atmae.org

Seats Open for 2-year positions within ATMAE's Divisions:

  • Distance Learning Division
    • President and Vice President

  • EECT Division
    • President and Vice President

  • Management Division
    • President and Vice President

  • Manufacturing Division
    • Vice President

  • Micro/Nanotech Focus Group
    • Vice President

  • Safety Division
    • President and Vice President        
  • WITMAE Division 
    • President 

Requirements:

  • Candidates for election must be members of ATMAE in good standing and must be members of the division of which they are running.
  • The term of office is two years.
  • The President and Vice President shall not be elected to more than two terms consecutively as President or Vice President respectively.
  • Neither President nor Vice President may serve simultaneously as the leader in any other division nor may they serve simultaneously on any of ATMAE's Boards. 
  • Division leaders who are elected this year start at the 2020 conference in Louisville, or October 9, and end at the 2021 conference.

Ballot Requirements for Election

  • Candidates must submit a short résumé with a headshot. in the first paragraph list your credentials, and accomplishments achieved in ATMAE or elsewhere in their profession that would be applicable to this leadership role. In the second paragraph, please answer the following questions:.
  1. How would you assess your track record of involvement with ATMAE?
  2. Do you see any transformational goals that you would like to see achieved during your tenure as a Division Leader?

What is expected of Board Members?

  • The Division must hold at least one meeting at the annual conference.
    • Leadership shall meet as needed throughout the year as needed.
  • It is the responsibility of President to regularly communicate to the membership of the division.. 
  • Division Leaders must work with ATMAE Staff and Board members to develop and implement a Plan of Work.
  • The Division Leaders must plan and organize the content regarding the divisions' interests at the ATMAE Conference including, but not limited to, assisting in the Call for Abstracts and Papers; obtaining reviewers; organizing the review process with staff; planning and organizing special conference sessions, workshops tours and social events.

Election Schedule:

  • June 22: Initial Call for Nominations announced.
  • July 24: Election nominations due at 5 PM Eastern Time. No exceptions allowed!
  • August 17 - 21: Election window available online. 
  •  Election will close Friday, August 21st at 5 PM Eastern Time.
  • Week of September 7: Winners will be contacted and an announcement will be made to the membership.
